Chat GPT is becoming a valuable source of traffic. This may not appear in Google Analytics review because the volume is small, but Chat GPT traffic is often more engaged than organic search.
I make these observations based on the improvement of AI answers on my experience.

I know that Chat GPT has not been checked to perform traffic, but I have two theories:
- Like organic search, Chat GPT provides solutions to problems, more information with external sites occasionally with links to outdoor sites.
The trend can change with the mainstream to join the mainstream. Until then, AI traffic monitoring is necessary.
Track Chat GPT references
In Google Analytics 4:
- Barley Acquisition> Traffic acquisition,
- Under the graph in the dropdown, select “Session Source / Medium,”.
- In the “Search” field, type “GPT” and click “Inter” to filter session sources.

Then make custom reports of customization of data quickly access.
Some external tools can filter the GA4 data traffic. For example, Data Boxes Allows users to add report to their dashboard and even add other data, such as conversion:

Chat GPT does not reveal the original user indicators, but we can remove the content by looking for landing pages of these users. Each page solves a problem. Thus, the solution was immediately requested.
Analyze Chat GPT references
In GA4:
- Barley Mangani> Landing Pages,
- Click “Add Filters” below the “Landing Page”.
- Select “Session Source / Medium,”.
- Choose “Contain” and Type “GPT”
- Click “Apply”

This will filter traffic sources for those containing “GPT” and will be set up landing pages through most clicks of Chat GPT.
The resulting report will help identify the pages whose Chatgpt refers to solving related issues. From there, ask Chat GPT to see the context of these references, as:
This is my URL: (URL). What would be indicated to mobilize Chat GPT to present this page as a solution?
